How is adenoid surgery performed?

Adenoid surgery is a procedure that takes about 20 minutes under general anesthesia. It is taken from the inside of the mouth through endoscopic systems without making any incisions from the outside or inside the mouth. The majority of children are discharged from the hospital after approximately 4-5 hours of postoperative follow-up. The pain is almost non-existent after 4-5 hours. The child becomes able to do his daily activities the next day. However, it is kept away from school and crowded environments for 1 week to reduce the risk of infection and very rare bleeding.
